What We Believe
The Scriptures
The Bible is the infallible, inspired Word of God. It holds the words of eternal life and the keys to the Kingdom of God. The Bible shows us God's principles and standards for living; is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct; it is the truth that sustains us in all circumstances. (II Timothy 3:16; I Thessalonians 2:13)
God
There is only one God, the ever-existing One; the Maker and Creator of all things. (John 1:1; John 5:6-8; John 15:16; John 16:28)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the Cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, now seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and advocate. (Ephesians 1:7; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 4:14; IJohn 2:1).
Holy Spirit
The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord, Jesus Christ in the Church and during this age, to convict men of their sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for Godly living and service. The Holy Spirit is also called The Comforter and The Spirit of Truth. (Acts 1:4, 5, 8; Acts 2:1-4; John 14:17, 26).
The Fall of Man
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin entered into the world. It is only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:14, Romans 3:23).
Salvation
Even in our sin, God loved us and sent Jesus to die for us. If we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, confess, repent and forsake our sin, we will be saved from the sinful state we were born in. (I John 1:9, Romans 10:9-19; Acts 19:2)
Water Baptism
Water Baptism through immersion after acceptance of Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, identifies with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and gives testimony of our death unto sin and our resurrection to a new life. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4).
Baptism of The Holy Spirit
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to every believer who will receive it. It is through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit that a Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present, sinful world. (John 1:12; Acts 2:4; II Corinthians 6:17).
The Lord’s Supper
The Lord's Supper/Communion commemorates the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. All true believers should share in it. It is by partaking in the Lord's Supper that we remember His Body that was broken and His Blood that cleansed us of our sin. (Luke 22:19; I Corinthians 11:23-30).
The Return of Jesus Christ
The imminent, personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ is the comfort and hope of every Believer and has a vital bearing on how we live our personal lives and our service in the Kingdom of God. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
